What virtual care can and cannot do.
Virtual care works well for many concerns and is the wrong tool for others. Here is how Moore Health uses it, and where we will send you elsewhere.
Clear about the limits.
Where virtual care works well
- Discussing ongoing symptoms and health history
- Reviewing an assessment with a practitioner
- Arranging and interpreting appropriate testing
- Follow-up conversations and adjustments
- Renewals and continuity of an existing plan
- Administrative questions and documentation
Where it is not the right fit
- Anything urgent or potentially life-threatening
- Concerns needing a physical examination
- Situations needing imaging or in-person procedures
- Care that belongs with another specialist
- Crisis or acute mental-health support
Where a concern cannot be appropriately managed virtually, the clinical team will tell you and direct you to suitable care.
Who can be seen
Virtual care is currently available to eligible patients in Ontario. Whether a specific pathway is appropriate for you is confirmed during intake and clinical review — not at the point of signing up.
Completing a form does not by itself determine an outcome, and it is not a commitment to any particular treatment. If more information is needed before a decision can be made, you will be asked for it.
How your information is handled
-
Clinical records live in clinical systems
Your medical record is held in the clinic’s secure clinical systems, not in this website’s public pages.
-
Secure communication for care questions
Questions about your care go through the secure area of your patient account, never the public contact form.
-
No medical detail in public tools
Public pages, links and analytics are not used to carry health information about you.
